At 66 I am often the oldest person in my gym that has a definitely younger person leaning most of the time. I'm fine with that. I think most of the others at the gym respect me for being the "old guy" who still exercises.
During shelter in place I have shifted to home workouts and I actually prefer them to gym workouts, but I am a big believer in doing whatever works to get someone exercising. Gym. Yoga class. Walks and hikes. Bicycling. Bodyweight exercises. Resistance band exercises. They are all good and people should do whatever works for them.
Thanks for writing this. You likely inspired many of us older people to commit or recommit to exercising. It is important.
