I think this is true. Many of us are still employed and doing OK. Tech salaries tend to be higher than many other job sectors and we can help out financially. Many of us also have tech skills that can be particularly useful to others without those skills.

I also know tech workers who have been laid off or are fearing such a layoff. So this advantage isn’t universal. But I think in general this article rings true.

P.S. For those with extra time on their hands, now is a good opportunity to learn or improve your tech skills. Tech is the future, whether one likes it or not. Even artists and creatives need to understand tech these days. There is no aspect of life untouched by tech. When it comes to tech, resistance is indeed futile.
