This is what I shared when I posted this superb article to my social media. Thanks for writing the article. Really good.
"This is really good. At 67, I'm 20 years older than the writer. It appears he's likely to return to some type of full-time employment eventually. When I leave my current job, I will (as of today's musings) likely not. Our situations are different. But whether you plan to quit your job or not, I recommend the article. It will give everyone some food for thought.
What I do know, and it's alluded to by the writer also, is that even after my retirement from corporate life I will need to contribute to humanity's betterment in some way. I might help one person, a few, or millions. Time will tell. But I know that even as I someday enjoy the calm of letting my days point themselves in their own direction, I will want to learn and create in ways that at a minimum improve me, and hopefully in at least some ways other's lives and the world. My continued reading and writing seem to be paths I will gladly stay on, but what else emerges is anyone's guess at this point."
